How many times have you started a diet and failed?
Unfortunately, that is the case for many. Everyone tells us that losing weight involves
a serious change in lifestyle.
But does that change in lifestyle have to be that drastic to accomplish weight loss?
Perhaps it is the drastic changes that cause us to fail?
People by nature hate change, right? At least most people do. Starting on a diet without a little planning and forethought really isn't a great
to way start.
Some mental preparation is needed prior to starting a diet and some questions need to be asked before plotting any diet strategy.
Understanding your own strengths and weaknesses before embarking on any diet decision is a must before choosing the diet
strategy that will be followed. If, for example, your lifestyle has been eating out 7 days a week, then choosing a diet routine that
prohibits all eating out is most likely to fail. Since eating out is something you enjoy immensely, then
putting a complete stop to it
will only cause a feeling of severe deprivation.
Pre-diet preparation involves being honest with yourself and reflecting on your current
eating habits.
Asking yourself questions about what you feel is your major weakness will help prevent diet failure due to bad diet strategy!
